As we are the last to touch the windows, we generally get the blame for scratches we have no possibility of making (We've been accused of an angle grinder mark on a window when we don't have access to one). We're highly trained and experienced in the safe use of razors, scrapers and other implements on glass, but some glass arrives from the factory with defects that only show up during cleaning. We'll flag any issues before we start and along the way during cleaning with documentation.

Because we see this day in and day out, our mk. 1 eyeballs are tuned to see many more defects than most people would ever dream of. We will see things that no one else will ever see Unless its pointed out. For this reason we will actually document to cover our liability and then have the discussion of if you want to be shown or not.

How much care have your other trades taken? That is the deciding factor. Smaller low set homes are usually half a day to a full day pending contamination level. Larger multi-story homes are multi day, multi visit jobs. We recommend getting in touch early and discussing hand over date, and scaff drop days. Best practice is to have upper levels done from scaffolding just before it comes down, then re-cleaning those windows again on final clean. It's a double tap on cleaning but saves usually 2-3 hours and hundreds on the total cost, as well as producing a better final result.
